The link (image left) is to the "Peoples Map" system. It has tags attached at various locations which indicate points of interest to the cruising crew. There are several known short comings in the system but most are outweighed by the superb resolution of the areas covered. To paraphrase - there are some known knowns and known unknowns too. High resolution is missing from the Inner Sound, Rona and Loch Torridon area . Similarily the Ardnamurchan peninsula is not rendered. Rum seems to be missing as you zoom in - fear not - it is there at high resolution! Large tracts of open water are also not included. There will be other areas unavailable at high resolution and mistrakes but hopefully these will captured as PM upload more data in the future. Apologies - Orkney & Shetland are poorly represented - perhaps someone out there can assist? Tags give references as in red below, pointing to the following documents, a photograph where available, and some text information. Tags are being added slowly to a theoretical maximum of 100 to prevent system slow down when parsing the information. Bracketed info refers as per adopted key (in red) below. The numbers are page references. e.g. (IM page 25) Imray : The Yachtsmans Pilot Guides by Martin Lawrence Clyde Cruising Club The Scottish Islands (SI) Imray Charts C 66 / C 67 / C 68 & C23 apply to the mainland and Orkneys.
