The aims of HCS are to:-

‣ provide a forum for discussion on sail cruising around* the north of Scotland. 40%

‣ collate and publish articles on sail cruising in the north of Scotland. 40%

‣ facilitate sail cruising crew matching and yacht charter processes 10%

‣ use information technology to minimise costs. 5%

‣ be self funding using own goods merchandising 5%

 

t h e - n i n e - r u l e s

1. There is no membership charge or fee. HCS operational funding will be by (eventual) sale of merchandise (future).

2. Newsletters may be forwarded as desired providing format is unchanged and acknowledgment is made.

3. The Highland Cruising Society website and volatile contents remains the property of the web site registrar as detailed in WHOIS. All website features and functions are controlled by the registered administrator .

4. Articles and photographs published remain the property of the contributors and their use in any capacity or format, other than in HCS documents, requires prior permission from them or the administrator.

5. Access to website and communication systems may be by password. Passwords will be issued at the discretion of the administrator.

6. Passwords will be unique and may be denied or revoked, at any time, by the administrator without explanation.

7. Password access, if invoked, will allow:-

8. On cessation of all HCS operations for longer than 23 months any money accrued by HCS will be paid to RNLI and HCS wound up. All merchandise and designs remain the property of the administrator to be disposed of as deemed fit by him / her.

9. Users accept HCS cannot be held accountable for any loss of service or inadvertent errors in any content whatsoever to any user in any capacity. Caveat lector.
